Lloyd, check out the contract for the 'dredge" and see how much it ultimately cost the City of Cape Coral. See how the dam thing was handled.

Ask the City Attorney if the City or MWH draws up the utility contracts that the City signs off on

Thank you for your comments, Lynn.

Please recall that the lawsuit is but one of many issues that prompted the change. The lawsuit comments are not "incessant", but instead they represent a portion of the real history of the project. What do you think about all of the other things that MWH has done to avoid problems for our city?

Those who do not respect the lessons of history are destined to repeat them.

Which contracts do the city "simply sign"? What contracts have not undergone review? I am not aware of one, and I would assert that this is simply not a true statement, unless proof of this sort of infraction is forthcoming. In fact, I am well aware of the contract review process in the city and it is extensive and well documented.

This project and the work being performed is certainly not "simplistic". Nor is the answer for our many and varied problems as simple as folding up shop and starting over.

Radio, the incessant comments about the "lawsuit" is getting old. Yes the City was sued and yes they settled very quickly. What is not being spoken about is that the City had recourse against another company to recoup this money. Did they go after them, NO. They just let it slide! Hey, what is 14 million dollars but chump change!

This has been their justification for going with the Manager at Risk Contracting and it is a sad excuse.

The City does not even write up the contracts they even let MWH do it and the City simply signs it.

Things are not as simplistic as you would like them to be.
